The position requires being based in, or willing to relocate to, the Christchurch area.
Working on a 37.5-hour week, you will be exposed to all project types building up extensive experience in design and project management taking on a high level of responsibilities on projects they are involved in.
You will A recognized NZ Degree in Civil Engineering or overseas equivalent Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the civil engineering field Have built up experience over a range of projects from residential to infrastructure works Extensive expertise in civil engineering principles, codes, and standards Possess excellent interpersonal skills along with an ability to communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders The role As a civil engineer, you will be provided increased responsibility acting as project management, interacting with clients and building up wide experience in each of the engineering sectors. The successful candidate will be joining the Christchurch office with clear progression paths within the company. Excelling in this position demands established interpersonal abilities and the capability to create and sustain favourable connections with clients and co-workers. Utilise AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce design calculations, drawings, and designs Contribute to large scale projects both locally and further afield Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, address issues, and provide technical support as needed Maintain regular communication with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns or queries The company The multi-disciplinary organisation is one of the longest standing firms of its kind in Canterbury.
