We are looking for an claims and LBP specialist to work within a large multi-level government organisation, supporting a community-based recovery project.About the role Asap Start Auckland CBD Location$35 per hour + 8% Holiday Pay Daily TasksProvide specialised knowledge and support related to building assessments, including deductible calculations and recovery processes.Reconcile photographs of damages with invoices to ensure accurate owner reimbursements.Ensure that all work aligns with insurance policies and the EQC Act 1993, including regulatory requirements and scheme terms.Oversee the accurate assessment and management of storm-affected properties undergoing categorisation.Assist the Principal Advisor Insurance and Financial Recovery in decision-making and provide necessary support in recovery efforts.Support liaising with internal and external stakeholders including insurers and contractors to ensure transparent and effective communication.Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of property assessments, reconciliations, and compliance documentation.Capture and document lessons learned to inform and improve future disaster recovery strategies. About You:5+ years experience in building compliance experience 5+ years experience in LBP or technical/builder position.Passionate about community supportResilient and compassionateCan start asap.
