We will also train you to be an underwriter, so that you can evaluate the risks involved when insuring people's home, contents, and vehicles.The first 3-6 months of your career with us will be based in our Auckland office during your training period. When you're ready, you will transition to flexible working, which includes working from home up to 50% of the time.Being there for our customers is important. You'll be interacting with our customers and brokers via phone and emails, working 37.5 hours over a 6-day week. Monday to Friday, the first shift starts at 8am with the last shift finishing at 6.30pm. On Saturday the shift is from 9am to 5pm. We publish our rosters a month in advance to give you the opportunity to plan your life outside of work.Your responsibilities will include:Evaluating risks and providing insurance quotes for our new and existing customersFulfilling customer requests in a timely and efficient wayResponding to customer and broker queriesBuilding and maintaining relationships with our customers and brokersManaging customer complaints in line with Suncorp NZ complaints framework to achieve a positive outcomeWhat you need to succeed:Relationship management skillsResilience to manage complex tasksStrong analytical, attention to detail and good commercial decision-making abilityFlexibility & desire to work in a fast-paced environmentA growth mindset to enhance your technical skills through our Underwriting AcademyWhat you will get in return:We'll develop your technical skills and empower you to make confident underwriting decisions.
