Are you experienced in administration, with an interest in electronics or climate and freshwater science? Join our Instrument Systems team based in Christchurch where you will be focusing on providing administration support in relation to the delivery and support of climate, hydrometric and other environmental monitoring systems. This role is for a 6 month fixed term period, 4 hours per day (preferably 10am to 2pm). What you will be doing: You will work closely with other Instrument Systems staff and be involved in general office and inventory administration ensuring that NIWA staff and clients receive professional and timely support. The focus is on purchase order and sales order processing involving a wide range of products relating to meteorological and hydrological monitoring while also having responsibilities around inventory control and manufacturing job parts kitting. What you will bring: A background in administration and/or inventory-related processes. An interest in electronics and improving administrative processes. Experience with international and national freight services, documentation and packing. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
