The Opportunity Our client, a reputable midsized advisory and restructuring firm with a strong presence in the New Zealand market, is seeking a skilled Intermediate to Senior Analyst to join their dedicated team. This role is perfect for individuals eager to work with a company renowned for its expertise in aiding underperforming and distressed businesses, as well as providing strategic guidance to stable organisations seeking process and performance improvements. Role Overview In this position, you will play a crucial role in assisting businesses in financial distress by offering technical advice to both public and private sectors. Your responsibilities will include fraud investigations, providing independent financial advice on mergers and acquisitions, and managing the entire restructuring and insolvency process. The role offers the chance to work with a variety of local and international clients on high-profile and complex cases. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with clients across diverse industries and sectors. Assist senior colleagues in preparing financial models and presentation materials. Conduct Independent Business Reviews and manage restructuring projects. Oversee formal appointments and ensure seamless business operations. Participate in fraud investigations and provide independent financial advice on mergers and acquisitions. Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for professionals with 1-3 years of relevant experience, particularly those with a background in Forensic, Restructuring/Business Recovery, Deals Advisory, or Transaction Services. The ideal candidate will possess: Relevant certifications (CA/CPA or CFA) or be in the process of obtaining them. Excellent client and stakeholder management skills. Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel proficiency. A solid understanding of accounting principles. Kiwis completing their Overseas Experience (OE) and seeking to return to New Zealand are highly encouraged to apply.
