In addition to providing contact center services and managing funding to support our customers, Manawanui also develops and operates an innovative SaaS platform that provides users with the tools they need to take control of their support plans around the world.
About the Role The Infrastructure and Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of Manawanui's production systems and leading the transition to a cloud-first infrastructure approach.
This role oversees the management of technology infrastructure, related vendors, release management, and operational support.
This role reports to the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for the management of Systems Engineers as well as cloud, technology infrastructure, and support vendors.
The role will also be expected to provide advice, budgetary oversight, and progress reporting to the wider executive team and board of management.
Responsibilities Operational Integrity and System Availability: Ensure all systems are operational and meet the organization's needs for uptime and reliability.
Manage on-call systems engineers to maintain and improve system performance, acting as an escalation point as required.
Cloud Strategy and Vendor Management: Lead the transition to a cloud-first infrastructure, optimizing and rationalizing cloud and other infrastructure vendors to reduce costs while ensuring scalability and security.
IT Security and Compliance: Oversee the organization's IT security measures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protecting against threats.
Architectural Transformation: Guide the re-architecting of existing systems from a traditional VM-based approach to a cloud-first architecture, enhancing scalability and operational efficiency.
Release Management: Manage the deployment of new software releases into production environments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Vendor and Stakeholder Engagement: Oversee and manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance and delivery against contract specifications.
Engage with key stakeholders to align technology solutions with business needs.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Establish and maintain high standards of quality assurance and risk management practices to minimize risks associated with infrastructure and support operations.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or better in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Certifications in Microsoft Azure would be a plus.
Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure and operations (10+ years), preferably with a focus on cloud technologies and networking architectures.
Proven track record in vendor management and cost optimization.
Strong leadership and technical skills, with expertise in Microsoft Azure infrastructure architecture, Jira Service Management or similar, IT security, and transitioning to cloud-first infrastructure architectures.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and proficiency in managing cross-functional teams.
