Information Security Consultant role working for a public sector agency - GRC, NZISM. Your new company This large public sector agency provides essential services to New Zealand in a highly interesting and dynamic environment. The organisation is looking to add further capability to its Cybersecurity practice, with the addition of a Cybersecurity Consultant. You will join a high-performing team of GRC cybersecurity professionals as they look to implement Continuous Security Assurance capabilities across various portfolios. Your new role In your new role you will be supporting a variety of critical internal projects across various domains, working with the business to enable, modernise and advise on best practices. You will work with the team to manage and contribute to the development of appropriate pragmatic security frameworks and security assurance practice across ICT service delivery, projects and operations. Reviewing vulnerability assessment and penetration test results. A typical day, if such a thing, would see you work across INFOSEC assurance and risk assessments, collaborating with wider teams to build out reports and assess capabilities for platforms and supply chains. What you'll need to succeed Your previous experience of working in governance, risk and compliance coupled with your ability to work effectively with various stakeholders will see you excel in your new position. You will also require knowledge of: Information security, with knowledge of NZISM. The ability to present complex issues in clear and understandable language. Conduct security vulnerability and risk assessments. With 1-3 years' experience in the field.
