Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral have an exciting opportunity for an Infectious Diseases Physician to join our service! You will be part of the Internal Medicine team as MidCentral's Infectious Diseases specialist with a focus on both outpatient and inpatient services as well as providing clinical support to our Infection Prevention and Control Service.
We are looking for a consultant who brings specialist clinical skills but also someone who will take that clinical leadership within our multidisciplinary teams to ensure we provide a patient-centred approach across Infectious Diseases and Infection Prevention and Control.
A leading member of the Infection Prevention and Control Committee, this role provides advice to all multidisciplinary teams and management on medical decisions programs relating to Infection Control within MidCentral.
This position does have a focus on both outpatient and inpatient work, but will also provide consultation support for the wider health provision (secondary and primary care) and will be a crucial part of our service development through facility upgrades, new building, and process re-engineering.
