In Home Care Manager

Details of the offer

Why You:
If you're a caring, empathetic, communicative person who enjoys working with others and wants to make a positive difference to those in need, this role could be for you!
If you're looking to have the freedom to manage your own time and want a role with low stress that supports older people in the community, I would love to chat with you.
Position Overview
You'll work closely with the owner and be responsible for a number of tasks: everything from liaising with our lovely carers to ensuring the delivery of high-quality home care services.
You will manage our 20 carers, who are all independent contractors and have mostly been in their role for many years, so don't require much support—just a helping hand now and again.
The initial focus will be on Carer Relations to find out what our Carers need to be happy and feel valued while developing new systems to make payroll and rosters easier to manage for everyone involved.
You will learn everything about what our carers value, and from this, you will help drive the recruitment of more quality carers to work with.
You will shadow the existing managers, who will show you their existing roles and responsibilities, and these will change as we streamline tasks to make them more efficient.
What is Home Carers and what do we do
Formerly Home Assistants for Seniors (HAS), Home Carers has been helping older people to be independent by allowing them to live in their homes for longer, for over 10 years now. HAS has been the most trusted Aged Care brand in Christchurch for many years, and now Home Carers intends on growing the brand with your help.
We're an In-Home Aged Care Agency on a mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate home care services that promote the health, happiness, and independence of older people.
While HAS never did any marketing and was happy to grow organically, I'm on a mission to grow the business and help more older people receive the care they need. We're just getting started.
Our clients are the elderly who need a bit of help, and some require more than others. The services we offer include: Companionship, Transport, Shopping, Housekeeping, Medication care, overnight care, Mobility care, Post-op care, Dementia care, and more.
So, yeah, you could say we are doing our bit to support those in need.
Why our work matters
With an ageing population, there is a big need to support those who can no longer support themselves. The carers who are supporting the older people also need support, and that's why we need your help to make life easier for them.
Carers are the most important part of our business, so we want to ensure they're happy and feel supported in every way possible.
