Role & Responsibilities : Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position) : As an integral member of the Accounting and Finance organization, the Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the New Zealand and Australia ( ANZ ) accounting operations for the icebreaker brand and ensure the compliance, accounting and reporting standards and practices. This role manages and oversees ANZ's compliance with VF's policies and procedures, US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and local statutory requirements. The individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely closing of business transactions, as well as driving excellence and efficiency around key accounting processes and controls. Key Result Areas : Ensure that monthly, quarterly and year end reporting to Asia management and VF is timely and performed with a high degree of accuracy. Ensure compliance with VF's policies and procedures, US GAAP and local statutory accounting requirements including working with external statutory auditor to ensure meeting of deadlines Ensure accurate and timely filing of income tax, fringe benefits tax and GST filings including working with VF Corporate Tax Team and external consultants on tax technical matters such as transfer pricing Manage cash flows and working closely with VF treasury teams in APAC With the focus on growth in the NZA market, be a strong business partner to key stakeholders and senior management Ensure that appropriate internal controls over financial reporting are implemented and operating effectively Establish a strong and cordial collaboration with other functions to support the business Work as one team towards achieving the overall finance goals and financial reporting objectives Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize business processes without compromising effectiveness of internal controls and quality of work product Liaison with banks, company secretary matters etc. when needed In charge of managing the preparation of the year end statutory accounts and legal and tax compliance and overseeing the external audit Other ad-hoc assignments or duties as required, eg. new brand integration, SAP enhancement, etc. Team development and talent management Competency Requirements : Behavioral Competencies - Please refer to VF guiding principles) Functional Competencies List down specific set of functional skills required to perform in this role Experience R-20240721-0007 #J-18808-Ljbffr
