icebreaker: Manager, Accounting (APAC) – 12 Months Fixed TermRole & Responsibilities:Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position):As an integral member of the Accounting and Finance organization, the Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the New Zealand and Australia ("ANZ") accounting operations for the icebreaker brand and ensuring compliance with accounting and reporting standards and practices. This role manages and oversees ANZ's compliance with VF's policies and procedures, US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), and local statutory requirements. The individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely closing of business transactions, as well as driving excellence and efficiency around key accounting processes and controls.Key Result Areas:Ensure that monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting to Asia management and VF is timely and performed with a high degree of accuracy.Ensure compliance with VF's policies and procedures, US GAAP, and local statutory accounting requirements including working with external statutory auditors to ensure deadlines are met.Ensure accurate and timely filing of income tax, fringe benefits tax, and GST filings, including working with the VF Corporate Tax Team and external consultants on tax technical matters such as transfer pricing.Manage cash flows and work closely with VF treasury teams in APAC.Be a strong business partner to key stakeholders and senior management with a focus on growth in the NZA market.Ensure that appropriate internal controls over financial reporting are implemented and operating effectively.Establish a strong and cordial collaboration with other functions to support the business.Work as one team towards achieving the overall finance goals and financial reporting objectives.Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize business processes without compromising the effectiveness of internal controls and quality of work product.Liaise with banks and company secretary matters when needed.Manage the preparation of the year-end statutory accounts and legal and tax compliance while overseeing the external audit.Other ad-hoc assignments or duties as required, e.g., new brand integration, SAP enhancement, etc.Team development and talent management.Competency Requirements:Behavioral Competencies:Lead change, drive operational excellence, and possess deep functional knowledge; meticulous with excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines.Proven communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Functional Competencies:Highly proficient in Microsoft applications tools, specifically in Excel.Experience with SAP and internal controls compliance is preferred.Experience:Minimum 8 years of relevant experience (preferably Finance experience in a multi-national corporation in the wholesale/retail/trading industry); with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.Minimum Supervisory Experience: 3 years.About UsVF Corporation outfits consumers around the world with its diverse portfolio of iconic lifestyle brands, including Vans, The North Face, Timberland, and Dickies.
