Their continued strong performance in this tough market means they need another permanent Hydraulic Sales Service Technician (HSST) to join their dynamic team based in Rotorua.
Providing high-quality hose repair service to their customers across the region, the Hydraulic Sales and Service Technician will be the main contact person and trouble-shooter for their customers, the name and the face of the Company.
This is not a routine workshop-based job; you'll be out on the road in a mobile workshop with heaps of autonomy.
You will get loads of variety – all sorts of customers, all sorts of problems, all sorts of locations, and all sorts of activities.
One minute you could be repairing a hydraulic system problem in the forest, the next you could be hunting out new business opportunities in the region.
Planning and scheduling visits, getting out there amongst customers and potential customers, and driving business growth through building strong relationships with customers are key components to this role.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes: Personable, a people person with the ability to relate well to others Strong mechanical skill set Excellent hydraulic and mechanical engineering trouble-shooting skills Passionate about providing excellent customer service Meticulous with an eye for detail Excellent time management capabilities Fluency in English (read, write, speak) The ability to self-manage and self-motivate Business development and networking skills A willingness and flexibility to take on tasks and responsibilities outside the square Ability to think outside the box, with the willingness to take on additional tasks and duties Physical fitness Able and willing to undertake on-call work If you're someone with a mechanical aptitude, a get-it-done attitude, who likes the challenge of being busy, has a passion for providing exceptional customer service, an eye for detail, and strong time management skills, then we want to hear from you.
A good working knowledge of hydraulics plus sound diagnostic skills would be advantageous but not essential.
Rostered on-call work is part of the role and a full and clean Class 1 driver's licence is a must.
Ideally, we would like someone with experience diagnostic skills in hydraulics.
However, if you feel your skill set may be what we are looking for, we would like to talk to you about your transferable skill set.
Training for the successful applicant will be provided via online training modules and on-site.
Undergoing all training aspects will be an employment requirement.
