ABOUT THE CONTRACT Ventia is excited to commence a partnership with Waikato based electricity provider WEL Networks to deliver a range of services across their network in the Waikato District on the North Island of Aotearoa.
Our scope will involve the design, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning of new electricity infrastructure across a growing network.
We are currently seeking an experienced Capital Works Project Manager to lead this project and be part of our well-established Electrical Services Team in the North Island!
ABOUT THE ROLE This role will be based in Hamilton and will see you working closely with an experienced group of Electricians, Project Managers, and Estimators.
You will be responsible for a variety of work including planning programmes of work, health and safety documentation, site auditing, and quality documentation collation and completion with site supervisor assistance.
This role will also require management of financials for the projects and monthly forecasting, and the management of multi-skilled teams.
You will be looking after customer-initiated works and substations capital works with valued projects of up to 2M.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 5 years' experience managing multiple projects with a preference for HV Distribution (Construction Electrical) work.
A solid substation background will be very beneficial.
Experience in managing project financials.
Client-facing exposure on longer-term projects.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Be organised and a self-starter.
Electrical industry experience.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are key to your success in this role.
