About the role
This position reports to the People and Wellness Manager and is responsible for managing a small team of Advisors who provide advisory services to the organisation in all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment, OD to ER.
Partnering with leaders across the business you will be a Team Lead who can be a trusted leader who acts with integrity and delivers results.
You will have solid examples of:
People and leadership - Lead and coordinate the People and Wellness Advisory Team, managing performance, setting clear expectations, and providing mentoring and development opportunities.
Strategy - Contribute to the strategic leadership and direction of the Advisory team and implementation of the organisations strategic and operational plans.
Stakeholder engagement - Consult and collaborate with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders to deliver the strategic goals
Advisory Services/Relationship Management – educate leaders and managers with advice, guidance, recruitment support, job analysis, PDP etc
Understand employment law and apply local policies and procedures to ensure compliance and proactively promote HR best practice.
You will be a self-starter, enjoy a great performing team and understand how and when to support others. You will be fully capable across the range of HR duties and lifecycle of an employee and get a buzz out of going to work each day knowing you are leaving it in a better place.
Skills and experience
Minimum of 5 years working in a HR related field
Experienced in people management
Experienced in building relationships
Experienced in dealing with confidential information
Strong personal drive to make a difference
Superb oral and written skills (including listening)
Technically savvy
A real problem solver
Customer service oriented
Delivers on commitments
