Our team of nearly 200 works in our purpose-built facility which houses production, storage, and distribution, as well as an on-site café and retail store, and support office.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources Specialist who has a passion for building leadership capability, supporting change and providing support across all stages of the employee lifecycle!
The Human Resources Specialist is the first point of contact for all people related queries and works with our leaders to ensure all people related activity is completed to a best practice standard. This is a stand-alone HR position reporting to the CEO and is pivotal to role modelling Original Foods Baking Co. behaviours across the business.
What will you be doing in this role?
Provide coaching to people leaders focused on building leadership capability.
Manage recruitment and onboarding processes and materials, while coaching leaders to grow their skills in these areas.
Creation and facilitation of employee training and development programs that support business goals.
Lead regular employee processes including remuneration review and performance reviews, ensuring framework for fair remuneration against performance is used consistently.
Work collaboratively with the Health and Safety Manager and people leaders to provide appropriate support for Health and Safety initiatives, investigations and return to work activity.
Manage employment relations issues as they arise across the business and coach leaders through performance and misconduct processes.
Develop, lead and maintain employee policies, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Lead our annual engagement survey, to drive people initiatives that align with business goals.
All general HR activity, including:
Maintaining employee records
Responding to employee queries
Managing parental leave
Regular review and reporting
Working with Payroll to ensure correct timely information
Providing best practice HR advice.
What will allow you to succeed in this role?
At least two years' experience in a relevant Human Resources role
A passion for HR and willingness to learn and grow
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively connect with people at all levels
An enjoyment of building capability and leading change
High level of attention to detail
People focused
A good understanding of employment law and best practice
Highly dependable and trustworthy
Organised and able to juggle competing priorities
Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information
A relevant tertiary qualification would be beneficial (but not essential)
