Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment) Permanent / Fulltime (40 hours) between Monday and Friday Mahitahi Trust is dedicated to fostering a positive and productive workplace environment within the mental health and addictions sector.

Te mahi turanga | About the role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Human Resources Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong generalist HR background with a particular passion for performance management and workforce development.
This role is crucial in ensuring that our organisation not only attracts and retains top talent but also continually develops our employees' skills and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
Develop and implement performance management systems, including setting KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback.
Design and deliver workforce development programmes that enhance employee skills and career progression.
Provide expert advice and support to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Oversee employee relations, ensuring a harmonious and productive workplace.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and reports.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and organisational culture.
Minimum Requirements: Proven experience in a generalist HR role, with a strong focus on performance management and workforce development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Full and Valid NZ Drivers License.
A degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
Familiarity with Elmo Cloud HR and Payroll software.
Consent and undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Consent to being NZ Police and/or Justice vetted.
