Within our National Portables branch network, the Auckland-based branch is our largest Portables Operation, supporting a wide and varied customer base from small building firms through to global infrastructure businesses and everyone in between.As Hub Manager - Northern Portables you will be responsible for the operational excellence and financial performance of our branch in Onehunga which services the Greater Auckland region. You'll manage the office-based Customer Service team and have the support of an Assistant Manager - Operations who oversees our Truck Drivers and Yard team. Your role also extends to operational responsibility and management of our small team of Sanitation Drivers co-located at our General Hire branch in Whangarei.To ensure successful revenue generation you will be commercially minded, a strong negotiator and have superb customer relationship management skills with the ability to develop strong local networks. You will also need a track record for successfully delivering operational objectives and a passion for encouraging your team to do the same.What you will do:Ensure our customers receive the highest level of service delivery; always thinking proactively about ways to increase our effectiveness.Proactively contribute to building a sales-led culture; leading by example and demonstrating a willingness to help out wherever required.Ensure the branch operates efficiently to best serve our customers' needs and our assets are effectively utilised; selling strategically and increasing profitability.Lead by example in all areas of health and safety; taking all opportunities to reinforce and improve the safety agenda.What you need to have:Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence (other classes/endorsements an advantage).Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with people at all levels.Significant staff management experience including: leadership, business development, employee mentoring, and branch safety involvement.What we offer:We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including enhanced employer Kiwisaver contributions, flexible working, and company-funded life insurance.
