You will work seamlessly with the team as you support projects and initiatives and provide high-quality and timely assistance to our wider People and Culture team.This is an exciting opportunity to join Te Kaunihera as we undergo a period of growth in our system maturity. You'll play a pivotal role in testing system upgrades, undertake position management and maintenance within HRIS, and support the Senior Analyst with reporting and data analysis to help shape equitable outcomes and the wider group to make informed HR decisions.The Payroll and HRIS team (part of HR Services) is highly focused on working in partnership across council. Internally focused, we are committed to embedding a high-performing, safe, happy, and healthy workplace enabling our people to provide quality services to our communities.Ideally, we are looking for someone who loves collaborating and engaging with the team and having fun while getting on with the important mahi this role covers. We are also looking for someone with:A relevant tertiary qualification and at least 5 - 7 years of payroll experience in a large/complex company or govt background.Experience using Microsoft 365, PowerBI, and SQL.Proficiency in developing reports and providing insights.The ability to identify business requirements, analyse, review, improve, document processes design, and lead systems testing and defect management.Knowledge and understanding of the Holidays Act 2003.Ability to express technical concepts in a way that's easily understood.We are looking to appoint between $79,356 and $93,359 per annum, depending on relevant skills and experience.Our team can offer flexible working and the potential to work from home up to 2 days per week.
