What you'll be doingYou'll be the key HR person for the 400 staff in NZ. You'll report to the CPO who is based in NZ, be on the local leadership team and be responsible for the full remit of HR activity. This is an opportunity to help an organisation move to a more modern set of HR practices, working collaboratively within the wider overseas HR team on a range of improvement projects. You'll be working in both a strategic and operational manner, lots of coaching and building managers' people management skill set. The business is currently going through a system implementation which will see a lot of change in the ways of working, so this role will support people through that journey, looking for efficiency as you go.
What you'll bringYou'll have a well-honed generalist background which has seen you working in blue collar environments. You'll be able to flex between operational and strategic work and you'll have gained success by getting out in the business and really understanding the key issues. You'll have excellent coaching skills, be patient but also push people to do their best work. You'll be renown for your relationship building skills and be comfortable with providing direct and constructive feedback.
