You'll be joining a large organisation where people's careers are developed. This commercial, fast paced opportunity will see you grow your skills and develop towards an HR management role.
As you'll be constantly engaging with stakeholders and adding value, being responsive and available is key. This means that you'll be based on-site in this role but enjoy some flexibility.
Here's what you'll be doing
This is a full HR generalist role, where you'll contribute to business success through the provision of well-considered HR advice. You'll be providing support and coaching across the full remit of HR activities, including employee relations and working with the union. Reporting to an HR Manager in a team of two (as part of a much wider HR team), you'll own business relationships and have the space and scope to proactively partner. You'll be supporting a multi-site business, with hubs based all around NZ, so the role will include providing remote support together with occasional travel to sites.
Skills and experience you'll bring
You love working at pace, are known for your energy and commitment and have a genuine aptitude for picking up and running with HR tech. You'll have experience across the breadth of HR activities including a solid background of working through ER issues and feel comfortable pushing back when needed. You'll have a curious approach, always seeking to understand, gaining the right information in order to provide the best solutions. You'll have a strength in building relationships and be able to adapt your style to work with people from all walks of life. Experience working with senior leaders, together with your strong commercial aptitude, mean you naturally combine best practice with what is pragmatic.
To be eligible for this role, you'll need to have the right to work in New Zealand.
