Hr Associate Manager

Details of the offer

Will coordinate a range of Human Resource functions, including people engagement, health and safety practices, performance management and related documentation.
A key focus of this role will be creating strong people processes and building an effective workplace culture that is people focused through the analysis of business needs, retention practices and people practices Respond effectively to queries from managers & staff about a variety of HR activities in a timely manner.
Guide, assist and communicate with business units on the usage of the HR systems, providing an effective first level of service.
Interact and manage Union engagement onsite and ensure we are meeting all compliances Govern and update health and safety standards and requirements as per legislative requirements Developing the HR agenda.
Developing HR strategies, policies, and practices.
Improving and monitoring employee productivity.
Structuring compensation and benefit packages.
Managing staff wellness initiatives.
Improving relations between staff and employers.
Evaluating staffing needs.
Managing and allocating HR funds.
Engaging with heads of department.
Skills and Experience: Hands on approach with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships across all levels of the business.
Sound decision making skills, a dynamic approach to new challenges and a passion for building process.
Have experience creating innovative people solutions.
A high level of emotional intelligence, initiative and the drive to thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
Excellent understanding of NZ employment laws, health and occupational safety requirements and stakeholder management.
Experience in interaction with Unions and working with them on issues and drawing out solutions High level/advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, detail orientated, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and produce high volumes of work.
Ability to coach first level leadership and stakeholders through critical people management issues and provide guidance through disciplinary investigations and day to day people management Experience in managing payroll as per NZ standards.
