If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Central Kids, working alongside our team of HR Advisors.As an HR Advisor at Central Kids, you will play a pivotal role in delivering reliable, timely, and fit-for-purpose HR advice and coaching to our organisations leaders.
Your expertise will support one of our Regional Managers, helping drive recruitment, development, and performance management across one of our Regions, and our pool of relievers.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality, pragmatic HR advice on employee relations, HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.Resolve employee issues through effective mediation and problem-solving techniques.Support the recruitment process, coordinate onboarding activities, and facilitate new employee orientations.Advise managers on performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and assist in policy development and implementation.Demonstrate a genuine connection with Te Ao Maori, assist others in building understanding, and recommend HR practices that embed the Maori worldview.Promote health and safety excellence, ensuring all staff follow organisational policies and procedures.Qualifications & Experience:3-5 years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.Attention to Detail: Demonstrates thoroughness and accuracy in tasks.Customer Focus: Prioritizes the needs and concerns of employees and management.Adaptability: Shows flexibility and resilience in response to changing work demands.Team Player: Works collaboratively with others to achieve common goals.Central Kids has provided early childhood education in the Central North Island since 1951.
