Ko ta matou mahi - Our Role As our newest Housing Support Manager based in Greymouth, you will work directly with a portfolio of our customers and their whanau, building enriching and enduring relationships to ensure customers' housing and wellbeing needs are being met and continue to be met as they change over time. This role will see you venturing into the community to meet customers in their homes, supporting them to access the services they need. From time to time, you'll attend meetings with key stakeholders to ensure tailored support and services stay in place for our customers and their whanau. You'll take a holistic approach to support our tenants to have good access to jobs, amenities and services, and to thrive within their communities. At times you'll need to uphold regulations and communicate outcomes that impact our customers to support them to live well in our Kainga Ora homes. As the sole Housing Support Manager in Greymouth, you'll be comfortable working independently as part of a wider regional team. You'll be based in the Greymouth MSD office and will be working alongside key stakeholders while staying connected remotely to the regional Kainga Ora Housing Support team. Nga pumanawatanga ou - What you will bring If you have a sense of empathy and compassion for our customers, strong computer-based administrative skills and demonstrated experience with navigating courageous conversations, then we would love to hear from you. Here's what we'd love for you to bring to the role: Prior experience working with customers who may have challenging housing and related wellbeing needs. Prior experience in tenancy or property management would be advantageous. Experience building and enriching customer relationships, with strong empathetic skills to connect with customers with a range of needs. High emotional intelligence and a calm demeanour, experience in deescalating highly emotional situations and conversations. Demonstrated strength-based conversation skills to support customers shape and develop their thinking on their wellbeing priorities and next steps. Cultural awareness to align approach to our customers' aspirations and preferences, particularly in working with Maori and Pasifika. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written communication and digital literacy. As this role requires travelling around the local region, a current New Zealand driver's licence is required. Nou te rourou - What's in it for you?
