An on-site commercial nursery helps support a multi-decade native reforestation project.We are currently seeking 2 experienced candidates who are passionate about hospitality to join our housekeeping supervisory team who assist our Assistant Manager Housekeeping in leading our talented team.
These are both permanent part-time roles with base hours being 8.30am to 4.00pm four days per week.
Because this is a hospitality role, some weekend work will be required, as will flexibility around days of work and the ability to work through busy summer holiday periods.A successful candidate must be comfortable working to tight timeframes, be able to work without supervision, and have the organizational ability to manage and prioritize competing demands.We are looking for people who can demonstrate:A natural leadership ability and a calm yet highly efficient delivery of leadershipPrevious experience as a housekeeping supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industryThe ability to work as part of a team, and nurture a supportive and inclusive culture within the teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable liaising directly with guests and ownersStrong attention to detail and the ability to consistently maintain the highest standardsKey Functions of the role will include:Working closely with the Assistant Manager Housekeeping and the Residences Manager to drive efficiencies within the teamProviding an effective interface between the Assistant Manager Housekeeping and the housekeeping teamProviding training to new members of the team, and identifying and maximizing training opportunities every dayCoordinating and scheduling the housekeeping team to meet the daily requirements of all four residences plus the winery and gymEnsuring the checklists for various tasks are used and adhered toA full job description is available on request.
Applicants must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice police check and have their own reliable transport as the property is located 30 minutes from central Kerikeri.
