About the Role:To provide assistance to the Housekeeper preparing and maintaining of BCM accommodation units and houses to a professional standard of cleanliness and hygiene.To provide assistance to the Chef in the Kitchen/Dining room area in preparation for, during and the clean up after meals and any other duties as required.
What will your responsibilities be:Regular cleaning and resupplying of kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, bedrooms and lounges.Resupplying units with toiletries, breakfast supplies and equipment.Reporting any maintenance and Health and Safety issues to Campus Services Team Leader.Meal preparation following Food Safe Work procedures.Dining area set up.Serving of meals.Clear up following meals including washing dishes, cleaning floors & tables, disposing of leftover food, laundry, tidying kitchen & dining room.Cleaning of appliances and cooking equipment.Attend planning days, team meetings and training as required.
Our ideal candidate will have:General housekeeping experience is required with the ability to work unsupervised.General Kitchen Hand experience required with the ability to work unsupervised.Desirable but not essential to have Food Safety Hygiene knowledge and hospitality industry knowledge.Excellent communication skills.Good cross-cultural understanding.Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.Exhibit attention to detail.Be flexible.Be honest & reliable.Efficient - able to work to tight timeframes and under pressure.Physically fit - some lifting involved.Conscientious - great time management skills.Maintains high Standards.Customer service focused.Good sense of humour!
