We provide short stays for young people with intellectual disabilities so their families can have a break.
Our House Leader role involves engaging and motivating a team of support workers to deliver a fun, strengths-based respite service, in alignment with Enabling Good Lives Principles.
Working alongside and gaining guidance from our Service Coordinator, the role oversees the day-to-day running of the house, staff mentorship, and liaison with families and key community stakeholders.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding full-time role, working Monday to Friday with the opportunity to pick up extra evening, overnight and weekend shifts.

What you'll need: The ability to positively lead, coach and develop team members, and to troubleshoot.
The ability to communicate effectively to the people you will support, their families, and the Spectrum Care team.
Experience supporting people with disabilities and an understanding of positive behaviour support strategies.
The ability to organise and allocate staff rosters and to manage the attendance booking calendar.
A full driver's licence.
A relevant qualification or the willingness to acquire one and engage in ongoing professional development.
Sound writing skills.
The ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Microsoft Office.

We can support you to achieve NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
Pay rates from $23.38 - $29.10 per hour plus an hourly $1.50 house leaders allowance.
Any sleepover hours are additional to rostered hours, and paid at current minimum wage.
