VR Group Hotels and Apartments – Taupo, North Island Looking for fit and energetic Fast moving Hotel housekeeper We are on the lookout for a dynamic and committed housekeeper with the potential to grow in the company. This is a permanent full-time position offering 30 hours a week. The main requirement is for those who can work at great speeds to turn around rooms in a short window. This is physically demanding work that must be done in quick succession day after day, so it is not a job for trial or on a casual basis; only seriously able and interested people should apply. Each task is time-limited and critical to be completed in that time to move into the next room for a repeat performance. A 90-day trial period applies. In this role you will be required to: Be able to work with chemicals on a daily basis and follow safety norms to avoid any accidents. Clean guest apartments in a short window of 20-30 mins including sanitizing and cleaning all bathrooms, kitchens, utensils, glass windows, cabinets, showers, kitchen appliances, making new beds, and vacuuming every inch of the room. Clean balconies and balustrades, balcony floors, and glass sliders. Place adequate and stipulated guest amenities and linen in the room and ensure kitchen inventory items are in complete and usable condition. Service occupied guest rooms to refresh linen, clean and dry bathrooms, showers, vacuum all floors, remove rubbish, refill guest amenities, and remake guest beds. Clean common areas, corridors, and lifts. Ensure that the interior and outside public areas are maintained spotless to enhance our customer experience. Sweep, mop, and polish floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets, and clean curtains and upholstered furniture. Make beds and restock mini bars and bathroom and kitchen supplies in hotel rooms. Some heavy lifting is required. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings. Ensure communal areas are clean. Pick up, sort, wash, dry, and iron clothes. Be available to conduct deep cleaning and spring cleaning using harsher chemicals safely and follow safety protocols. Organize and clean housekeeping facilities and restock amenities and linen supplies. Please note: At least 6 months of previous commercial housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality-related business is essential. This job may require interacting with in-house guests, so knowledge of working English is required. This job will require working split shifts, including night shifts and working on weekends. Friendly and approachable with an ability to work under pressure. Candidates must show their eligibility to work in New Zealand.
