Front Office & Guest Services (Hospitality & Tourism)We are a 4-star Qualmark rated hotel well known for offering a warm welcome and a friendly environment for our guests.As a Front Office Duty Manager, you will be working closely with our management team to ensure the efficient functioning of the hotel operations. This is a hands-on operational role covering all areas with the ability to oversee Hotel operations in the absence of the Hotel General Manager and Front Office Manager.This is a part-time role with a minimum of 20 hours per week, flexibility to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts is required along with helping in other departments on occasions.Key responsibilities:Management of all guest arrivals and departures ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes follow set procedures and are customer-focused.Management of porter services while ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.Effective liaison with the Reservations team to ensure accuracy in room allocation and maximizing yield.Regular liaison with Maintenance ensuring maintenance requests are completed quickly focusing on guest needs as a priority.To be successful in this role:You have extensive experience working in a busy hotel front office department, with previous experience as a Front Office Duty Manager.You possess outstanding communication skills and are impeccably groomed.You are able to work autonomously and can think outside the box.You are highly organized, passionate about hospitality, reliable, honest, hands-on, and can multitask.You have an outgoing personality, positive attitude, and loads of initiative.You are available to work various shifts including morning and evening shifts, seven days per week, and public holidays.Current General Manager's license, first aid certificate, and a working knowledge of hotel property management system CLARITY would be an advantage.We offer a fun and professional working environment, free car parking, dry cleaning discount, uniform, and staff meals along with the opportunity for ongoing learning and development.Only those legally allowed to work in New Zealand for the remainder of 2024 and well into 2025 should apply.
