Hostel Supervisor

Permanent, part-time, minimum of 20 hours per weekWe have a vacancy available within our team for a Hostel Supervisor at Scotlands Hostel, our home away from home for boarders who attend NPGHS.The role is term time only, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, including some weekends and an overnight sleepover shift.The Supervisor role consists of supervising the daily routines of all girls, medical and general needs, approval of hostel leaves via the Orah application, transporting students locally in the hostel van, recreation/weekend activities, pastoral care, supervising prep time, basic cleaning and dealing with minor discipline problems.Our ideal candidate will bring the following skills and attributes:A genuine interest in working with young peopleA warm and approachable personality, with a fair but firm mannerExperience of working with teenagersA willingness to collaborate with other staffAn interest in planning activities for our studentsInitiative and a helpful attitudeShifts range from early mornings and afternoons to evening shifts and sleepover shifts.If you have the required skills and enjoy working with young people, please complete the application form which can be found on our website www.npghs.school.nz under Vacancies.
