Established in 1991, Te Puna Ora o Mataatua delivers an integrated range of community health, general medical, homebased, and social services within the Mataatua rohe, Mai Nga Kuri a Wharei ki Tihirau.He aha te tunga? | What is the role?Our Homebased Support Service is our largest service, with over 400 support workers caring for whanau in their homes throughout the Mataatua rohe. Our Coordinators are dedicated to their mahi, coordinating a caseload ofsupport workers to ensure whanau receive the utmost quality support and care in the comfort of their own homes.This mahi includes recruiting and supporting support workers and coordinating referrals and cares for clients. Home visits are required and careplans need to be developed for our clients. A vehicle will be available to use for this role for the required travel. This is a super busy role, in an environment where no two days are the same - but the mahi is rewarding!For this mahi, we are looking for a genuinely caring person, who is the epitome of aroha ki te tangata. It would be great if you have a strong admin skillset and can pick up new systems fairly quickly, as the majority of your mahi will revolve around our payroll and client management system.Great communication is paramount for this mahi too, because you'll need to be in constant liaison with your clients and support workers, as well as your team back at the office in Whakatane.Te Poutokomanawa o Te Puna Ora is a framework that underpins everything we do at Te Puna Ora o Mataatua, therefore a strong commitment to the principles outlined in the framework is vital.We are a fast-moving organisation that respond to the everchanging needs of our hapori, so the ability to adapt to changes, thrive under pressure, and enjoy a challenge are important to us.The Homebased team are a fun-loving, boisterous bunch, who all give 100% to their clients and support workers and even though you will be based in Tauranga, you will have many opportunities to travel to Whakatane to participate in team activities as well as greater organisational-wide kaupapa.At Te Puna Ora o Mataatua we are committed to developing our kaimahi with the majority of our workforce making good use of their professional development budgets.
