Two generations benefit through the HIPPY Programme's contribution to both early childhood education and parenting support resulting in: Improving skills, confidence, and educational outcomes of children Increasing parents' participation in their children's education and wider communities Increasing participation in Early Childhood Education (ECE) We are looking for a fulltime (40hrs per week) HIPPY Programme Coordinator in Timaru to deliver a Ministry of Education contract. As the HIPPY Coordinator reporting to the Regional Manager you will assist to establish a quality programme in your community, and you will have primary responsibility for all aspects of local programme implementation. The role will be predominantly a work from home position with an expectation of the successful candidate working across the area supporting whanau.Although the role is based at home, recruitment and programme delivery is predominantly face to face and there will be a need for a daily presence within the Timaru region. Key Responsibilities: Deliver the HIPPY Programme in accordance with the Whanau In-Home Learning Agreement and the HIPPY Delivery Manual Engage and enrol families in the HIPPY Programme and facilitate transition to ECE or school Recruit, train and support tutors Skills and experience A tertiary qualification (eg. Teaching, Social Work or related field) Experience working with families with young children Experience with adult learners or coaching Strong connections and understanding of the community Sound leadership qualities Good verbal and written skills Familiarity with MS Office Suite A current full driver's licence and regular access to a vehicle A suitable space to work from home A satisfactory Children's Act check.
