Management - Internal (Human Resources & Recruitment)Te Turanga /About the Role:Silver Fern Farms are looking for an experienced and passionate People and Capability Manager to join their enthusiastic and supportive team at their Pareora site in Timaru. This role takes the leadership of a team of nine and provides generalist HR support and experience to a range of on-site stakeholders.They will be a key member of the senior leadership team at site, reporting directly to the Site Manager. The role requires both office time and 'gumboot time' - time spent ensuring HR and ER practices and processes are understood and adhered to whilst also spending time in production departments supporting senior production leaders to coach their frontline leaders to be at their most effective. The role will drive continuous improvement across all employment practices at site, take overall responsibility for employment, training and payroll, and assist leaders in identifying future leadership talent including help with design and implementation of training plans to bridge skills gaps.Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities:In partnership with Production Leaders, implement a workforce planning process to identify recruitment timings and required staff numbers.Provide sound, up to date HR advice and support to all leaders and employees across site.Provide active support for leaders in complex ER situations.Implement and maintain an effective employee engagement framework to support the goals and vision of our central People Strategy and Operating Plan.Support the coaching and growth of leadership capability across all site functions, building a culture of communication, accountability and inclusiveness.Significant experience and track record of success in a senior People role, preferably in a large and complex manufacturing organisationA drive to work in a hands-on capacity along with strategic planningSignificant ER experience in a manufacturing environment, preferable with Union interaction.Experience building a culture of communication, accountability, empowerment, willingness and inclusiveness.Strong relationship building skills with the capability to support coaching and growth in capability and culture developmentTe Ahurea /Why work at Silver Fern Farms?Silver Fern Farms are all about Creating Goodness from the Farms the World Needs.
