Herd Manager - "Let Your Star Shine Brightly"

Located just 6k's from Geraldine and roughly 20 mins to both Ashburton and Temuka, we feel we are ideally situated for you to enjoy a healthy work-life balance.
We milk our beautiful herd of 1150 cows through a very clean and tidy 60 bail rotary shed which has ACR and Auto Teat spraying. We currently have a great team of 7, but we need one more person to make our team complete, so we are seeking a strong Herd Manager with at least 2 years NZ dairy experience and preferably someone who is looking to grow their career. We work on a 6/2 roster all year round; we look after our staff as if they were part of our family. The team works well because we communicate, we bounce ideas off each other, we have team meetings, we plan together, and we share the workload evenly.
We also have our own runoff located near the dairy farm and the young stock are all grazed at that property until they are due to return as in-calf Rising 2 Heifers. The main herd grazes there for the winter months and returns in progression as they approach their due dates.
Our accommodation is off-farm in Geraldine, so unfortunately, no pets are allowed. We offer a competitive salary which is negotiable depending on experience. We provide a clean, healthy, and safe work environment; therefore, no criminal records and definitely no drugs.
