We want to hear from you!Benefits & PerksWe offer a number of growth and development opportunities, wellness benefits, flexible working conditions, and embrace an innovative approach to mahi.Skills & ExperienceThe successful candidate must:Have a full clean driver's license.Have the right to live and work in New Zealand.Value healthy lifestyles.Have appropriate tertiary qualifications and industry experience, i.e., training/qualification in human anatomy and physiology and exercise prescription.Knowledge and understanding of (or the ability to quickly learn):Benefits of physical activity for health.Strength and Balance programmes appropriate for the older population.An understanding of the basic principles of exercise prescription and an ability to apply these to physically inactive people.A knowledge of the various lifestyle-related medical conditions.An understanding of the precautions required when recommending physical activity options to people with medical conditions.Community-led development and systems change.A deep understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is a huge advantage and highly valued.Position DetailsThe position is 30 hours per week, focusing on Strength and Balance / Green Prescription support, based in the Far North / Mid North East, and requires flexibility, which may include some evening and weekend work from time to time.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesSupport individuals / whanau to make small achievable changes to improve their health and wellbeing. Green Prescription focuses on supporting healthy behaviour change by developing sustainable physical activity and nutritional habits.Support increased access to approved community group strength and balance programmes and identify, coordinate, train, and support falls prevention programmes with providers in the community.
