Healthcare Assistants – Spinal Unit | Burwood HospitalStart Date – January 2025Positions – 2x 0.8FTE opportunitiesShifts – Candidates must be able to work all shifts (Morning, Afternoon and Nights) between Monday to SundayStatus – PermanentSalary - Starting from $58,100 to $68,309 per annum. Based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement
About the Role The Spinal Unit is a leading rehabilitation centre at Burwood Hospital and we want you to join our dedicated team providing top class care.
A Healthcare Assistant is an integral part of our team of health professionals. We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who has excellent communication skills and the ability to use their initiative. You will enjoy being busy and don't mind that the role can be at times physically demanding. You will be hard-working and enjoy working in a well-established team.
A patient's journey in the spinal unit is complex and challenging with highs and lows, so we need you to be positive and passionate about rehabilitation to ensure our patients reach their full potential.
The role of a Healthcare Assistant varies from day to day and contributes to the unit's running smoothly and to its highest potential. This could mean performing a variety of tasks such as:
