Healthcare Assistants Level 4

Details of the offer

To work effectively as a Healthcare Assistant under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to provide a high standard of quality care to patients.
To work across clinics, wards, emergency departments, and operating rooms. This is a wide-ranging role, from supporting patients with comfort and concerns to ensuring the environment is ready to provide the best care to patients.
Duties (include but not limited to):
Providing patient handling assistance as required; correct use of lifting equipment, assisting with walking frames and other equipment.
Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and care; assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing, bed making, preparing the room for admission.
Completing delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision.
Ensuring Health and Safety compliance: use equipment safely, report incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, follow required policies and procedures including infection control.
Restocking materials.
Completing cleaning duties as required.
Role requirements:
Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent).
Exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients.
A reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties (including lifting).
Excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy.
Reliable and honest with a positive attitude.
Willing to undertake police clearance (submitted on your behalf).
Willing to undergo a health screening.
