Contract: 0.6 fte, permanent, rostered rotating, 8 hour shifts
The maternity unit has a vacancy for a committed and enthusiastic support worker to ensure that a high level of maternity care is maintained at all times. The Healthcare Assistant supports the midwifery team to deliver services for women and whanau by ensuring the birthing rooms are prepared, equipment is available, food is delivered and women are welcomed into our unit.
Wellington Hospital Birthing Suite is a modern, purpose-built, busy unit catering for the needs of women and their whanau. There are 12 self-contained, fully equipped labour and birthing rooms. Healthcare assistants are important members of our multidisciplinary team in providing a safe, clean and caring environment to all who use our services.
The ideal healthcare assistant for our unit is someone who is diligent, reliable, hard-working and who has a sense of humour. The successful applicant will be able to work rostered and rotating 8 hour shifts.
