Willis Medical – Wellington Central, North Island
As a Healthcare Assistant , you will be a key member of the team at Willis Medical , providing high-quality care and support to patients in our Te Aro Wellington facility. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a collaborative, supportive environment.
What you'll be doing
Assisting nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care
Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
The role is varied with a mix of computer work, liaising with the multi-disciplinary team and patient-related tasks
Participating in team meetings and contributing to Willis Medical's quality improvements
What we're looking for
Experience is preferable but not essential as training will be provided; however, a good degree of common-sense is imperative
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and protocols
Computer skills are an essential part of the role
Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to improve the well-being of patients
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new skills
