About this opportunity Located at our Avondale site the primary purpose of the Health, Safety & Environment Advisor is to provide tools, guidance, and oversight in cooperation with the Business Unit Manager and site leadership team to implement Health, Safety & Environmental Systems, which enhances the culture that promotes well-being and resilience to ensure our people get home safe every day. The site demonstrates compliance with its legal and ethical obligation to provide a safe workplace.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Maintain and Audit the HSE Management Systems Health and Safety system alignment across the site Risk and Environmental systems alignment across the site Ensure that practices and procedures within the workplace coincide with current safety legislation and that standards are upheld and maintained. Environmental Management Maintenance and Audit that support high levels of site environmental management. Ensure systems are communicated and understood, and with the support of the Business Unit Manager and site leadership team, that standards are understood and adhered to by all levels of staff. Developing and implementation of the site HSE management system to the level of accreditation to ISO14001 Embed and lead Site HSE committee Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Strong communication and collaboration skills, incl. written and oral Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement to systems, processes and procedures Ability to coordinate across multiple functions Attention to detail Strong organisational skills Flexibility and adaptability Ability to influence and nurture good working relationships both within and across departments under the HSE management systems Qualifications Essential H&S Rep: Stages 1,2,3 qualification or similar Sound knowledge of HSE related Sound understanding of & ability to effectively use, Word, Excel, Access 2013 & SAP Desirable
Management Experience in manufacturing environment. Certificate in Workplace H&S Practice Level 3 Environmental Safety Certificate (SGS)
