EastPack is the Kiwifruit industry's leading grower-owned post-harvest operator with facilities in six locations across the Bay of Plenty.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Health & Safety Team based in Te Puke!
You will need to be passionate about creating safe and healthy work environments to provide support to our packhouses, offsite locations and orchard division.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will need to maintain a visible profile, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and promote best practice, statutory and legal compliance throughout the business.
This role will also be pivotal in the implementation, monitoring, and validation of our critical risk management programmes.
You will also need:
Proven experience in a dedicated H&S role and a formal H&S related tertiary qualification.
A good knowledge of H&S compliance and legislation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to critically analyse situations to enable change.
Strong attention to detail & accuracy.
A good level of computer literacy including Word and Excel.
To be able to work to deadlines and make sound decisions while working under pressure.
Flexibility with working hours and be comfortable with travel across the regions as required.
A full NZ driving licence.
