Job Description About this opportunity The primary purpose of the Health & Safety Advisor is to provide tools, guidance, and oversight in cooperation with the Business Unit Manager and site leadership team to implement Health & Safety Systems, which promotes well-being and resilience to ensure our people get home safe every day.
The site demonstrates compliance with its legal and ethical obligation to provide a safe workplace.
An additional objective is to provide a connection between the site and divisional level activities to champion and monitor the PPNZ Divisional HSES Systems, Policy, Procedures and tools implementation, inspections and audits.
The position will also be responsible for overseeing critical Safety and environmental incidents and supporting the site with incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action closure.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Develop, Implement, Maintain and Audit the HSE Management Systems, accreditation to ISO14001.
Health and Safety system alignment across the site.
Risk and Environmental systems alignment & Environmental Management Maintenance and Audit across the site.
Embed and lead Site HSE committee Compliance gap assessment and in partnership with the site management To ensure the Albany Site maintains a high level of Health and Safety standards, processes and practices to ensure the safety of all workers, Contractors and Visitors Coordinate and oversee employee induction and training management where applicable, and ensure contractor inductions are completed by contract supervisors Monitor compliance with the Site Risk and Environmental standards, ensuring regular review and update in line with agreed protocols.

written and oral Ability to influence and nurture good working relationships both within and across departments under the HSE management systems Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement to systems, processes and procedures Ability to coordinate across multiple functions Strong organisational skills Flexibility and adaptability Qualifications H&S Rep: Stages 1,2,3 qualification or similar Sound knowledge of HSE related Sound understanding of & ability to effectively use, Word, Excel, Access 2013 & SAP Management Experience in manufacturing environment.
