The Opportunity We are looking for a passionate Health & Safety Advisor to join our team based in Alexandra.
You will 'get the job done' by implementing the organisation's H&S plans and policies, and proactively driving the safety culture of the business.
This role is predominantly site based, supporting our operational teams working across the Central Otago region.
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you are responsible for providing effective H&S support and technical advice by working closely with all regional departments to build and maintain the strong processes and systems needed to achieve compliance with all appropriate and recognised Health and Safety standards.
You will provide operational support to help deliver work for customers safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard.

What you'll bring to the table The successful candidate will be able to work well with others and demonstrate visible leadership with on-site presence, and have the ability to connect, engage and communicate a positive H&S culture.
You will enjoy getting stuck in with your team and take pride in the support and guidance you are delivering.
You will also have: A minimum of 2 years experience within a Health & Safety role Experience within a civil contracting or industrial environment Obtained (or working towards) a formal qualification in Health and Safety Competent with Health & Safety Auditing and Incident Investigation A solution-orientated and practical approach Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Current Class 1 driver's licence Be a member of the NZISM group (preferred) Fulton Hogan Philosophy Here at Fulton Hogan, we don't just talk about our REAL Values, we live them too.
