Health Coach

Te Mana Oranga Trust is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic person to join and support a dedicated GP team at Broadway Health in Kaikohe, Northland. As a part-time Health Coach (24 hours per week), you will play a crucial role in supporting patients by assessing and prioritising their health needs, and formulating simple plans to help them achieve their health and wellness goals. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the local community.
What you'll be doing
Working as an integral part of the team at Broadway Health
Providing one-on-one coaching and guidance to patients on lifestyle changes, including nutrition, exercise, and stress management
Collaborating with patients to develop personalised health plans and monitor their progress
Facilitating group workshops and educational sessions on a range of health and wellness topics
Maintaining detailed and accurate client records each day
Referring and possibly transporting patients to other appointments as needed
Actively promoting the health coaching services within the local community
Supporting patients with MSD appointments if needed
What we're looking for
Minimum qualification - Level 4 Mental Health and Wellbeing
Relevant experience in mental health, nutrition, or a related field
Experience in health coaching or a similar role, with a proven track record of helping clients achieve their goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
A passion for health and wellness and a commitment to empowering individuals to take control of their health
A team player who collaborates and can work independently
You are a resident of New Zealand
The successful candidate must undergo a Police check
