Pae Ora - Corrections Health Services lead the delivery of patient-focused primary health care services to those in our care and their whanau, across Aotearoa.

It is a nurse-led service providing nursing services and general practice services. Health teams are multidisciplinary in nature with various primary health clinicians (including medical officers and dentists) contracted by the department.

Hokai Rangi, our over-arching strategic direction, places the focus on health at the heart of our business. Building our frameworks from a Matauranga Maori basis is our focus to drive and support equity for Maori, which in turn will contribute to achieving our outcomes of reducing reoffending.

Nga kawenga - About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated people leader to lead our health centre team of clinical and non-clinical staff at Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility in Wiri.

We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic leader to drive our health centre team, guiding wahine centred, clinical and non-clinical staff toward excellence in delivering quality healthcare at Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility.

You will be both operationally focused and driven to engage and enhance your team as a leader, with overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations, clinical governance activities, and quality and resource management of our health services.

The wider team deals with a broad range of health assessment and treatment, responds to emergencies, and undertakes health education for the wahine under the care and management of Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility.

Working collaboratively with Doctors, Allied Health professionals, external agencies, your wider Pae Ora team and other Corrections staff, you will promote a philosophy of care within the prison which ensures the delivery of quality health services and wahine centred care; therefore, the ability to form and sustain relationships is vital in this role.

Demonstrates understanding of a philosophy of care which ensures staff, systems and processes are focused on providing safe, competent, and timely health care for wahine in Auckland Region Women's Corrections Facility. Be a Registered Nurse with a current NZ practising certificate and post-graduate clinical experience in a range of settings. Utu a-tau - Salary The full salary range for this site is $146,296 up to $170,514. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
