An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Care Support Worker post within the Accident & Emergency department based at Mid Argyll Hospital.
The post is to cover 8am-6pm over 4 days/week, working 1 weekend in every 4 weeks.
The post holder will work alongside the duty ENP, following instructions of tasks but also have initiative to work independently within their own limitations. Skills in ECG and venepuncture preferred, but not necessary as training will be given.
Mid Argyll Hospital is situated on the west coast of Scotland. It is a Community Hospital within a bustling town.
Inpatient services consist of a 15 bedded GP acute ward which cares for acute admissions.
The Accident and Emergency department is located in the hospital.
There is also a busy Outpatient department with visiting consultants from a range of specialties.
Rehabilitation services from the multi-disciplinary team are also provided, as are day case services to provide adjunct therapies and transfusions, etc.
Mid Argyll affords great opportunities for excellent work/life balance.
Outdoor pursuits are available with local organised events such as the Mid Argyll Triathlon and there are great cycling and water sports on the doorstep.
The islands of Islay, Gigha, Arran and Jura are easily accessible with a good ferry service.
