Health Care Assistant

Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:  Deliver care to assigned residents as specified in the Person-Centred Care Plan (PCCP) and directed by the Clinical Manager or Registered Nurse. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming. Supporting residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Planning and implementing programmes of leisure activities for individuals in health care and the community to aid their social development and promote well-being Evaluates, plans and implements care for clients in accordance with recognized nursing practices and standards · Report any changes in the resident's health or functional status to the Registered Nurse immediately and accurately record the information.
Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of residents and their personal information. · Respect each resident's cultural identity and well-being. · Perform other duties as requested by the Registered Nurse or Clinical Manager. As an advocate, interpreter and educator, assists in the delivery and coordination of health services to multi-ethnic, multilingual communities Counsel clients on emotional, financial, recreational, health, housing and other social welfare matters Meal preparation Giving medication Adhere to KAURI's vision, values, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications & experience NZ Level 4 or above Certificate in Health and Wellbeing. 1+ years of previous aged care preferred. Multilingual communication skills are preferred. Flexibility to work rostered shifts. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good people skills and empathy for our residents and families. #J-18808-Ljbffr
