ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Health & Safety Manager to lead all things health and safety across the New Zealand operations. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will hold:
A positive, engaging approach to working with multiple project stakeholders including clients, contract managers, site managers, site staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and the general public.Minimum of five years experience in managing health and safety across multiple sites and regions.Health and safety qualification (level 6 or higher).Thorough understanding of HSWA, regulations, and industry guidelines and standards – with the ability to apply those through practical civil construction work methods.Experience in all aspects of health and safety management including critical risk management, incident investigation and management, subcontractor management, site auditing, training and coaching, health and safety system management and review, and health and safety committee management.Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and communication across all business levels including our site teams, management, board, and clients.Ability to regularly travel throughout New Zealand.Our client is particularly proud of its ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 accreditations, so you will also understand working within these standards in order to work alongside the HSEQ Systems Manager to maintain these.
