Clinical Nurse Specialist - West Community Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist - West Community Adult Mental Health Part-time 0.8 FTE Mon-Fri / 32 hours per week Based in Henderson This is an exciting role which will work closely with the West Adult Mental Health Leadership team and the other nursing leaders across the Mental Health Service Group. About the role The successful candidate will provide expert, specialist nursing care within the Adult Community Mental Health Teams. With the prevalence of mental health and substance use disorders the CNS plays a critical role in ensuring access to care by: Providing mental health and substance use assessments, diagnosis and treatment, taking a lead with whaiora with complex presentations. Identifying whaiora who require a complex care plan, coordinating and leading the development of the plans. Provision of senior nursing support to clinicians to assist them in recognizing risk, planning care and accurate documentation and follow up. By challenging guiding and role modelling practice excellence, this role develops the capability of staff to provide clinical excellence. The successful applicant must have proven leadership and clinical expertise in Adult Mental Health and have demonstrated active engagement in their own professional development.
