Health and Safety Business PartnerHamilton, WaikatoFull Time, Permanent$$$ highly competitive and based on experience levelShirley Parsons have partnered with a leading NZ meat producer, who are looking to appoint a newly created Health and Safety Business Partner role.
This dynamic and fast-moving business has operations stretching from Whangarei to Invercargill.
Reporting to the National Health and Safety Manager, we're on the hunt for two highly motivated and experienced individuals to take the business on the next step of its safety journey.Having previously worked in a high-risk environment, you'll be a proven change agent, able to lead people and drive engagement.
Hamilton based, the role will require frequent national travel, as you build relationships with operational leaders and site teams.Key responsibilities:Partner with local sites and national operations to provide expert HSE advice and guidanceDrive best practice through close collaboration and engagement with operationsProvide a level of assurance, ensuring HSWA compliance, ISO retention and ACC certificationMentor, support and train colleagues at all levels of the businessWork with the National Health and Safety Manager and H&S team to deliver the business wide safety plan, vision and goalsReview and monitor the development and implementation of site-level H&S Plans and KPIs, ensuring alignment to the broader group goalsEngage with the Regulator to build a robust and positive relationshipImplement and maintain effective reporting systems/processesIdentify H&S trends developing effective controls and remedial actionsRegular travel to sites throughout the countryThe HS Business Partner will have:5-10 years' experience in Health and Safety with exposure to high-risk sectorsA pragmatic and modern approach to H&S ManagementOutcome focused - able to drive changeCulturally aware and sensitive.
