Head Winemaker

The Delegat Group is a leading global wine company and New Zealand's number one wine exporter.
The group is seeking a high-calibre Head Winemaker to lead a dedicated, talented winemaking team across three state-of-the-art winery sites – Auckland, Marlborough and Hawke's Bay.
This is a rare opportunity to take on one of the world's most significant winemaking roles, with the flexibility to be based in any of these three locations.
Reporting to the Group Technical Manager (Viticulture & Winemaking), the Head Winemaker will be responsible for the continued success of the Oyster Bay and Delegat portfolios, plus leading and mentoring the winemaking team to refine style and keep driving quality.
This is a complex, technically demanding role encompassing red, white and sparkling styles, requiring proven viticultural acumen, plus experience with trade, media, industry bodies and growers.
An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with experience, is available to the successful candidate.
